MyReviewers serves as a vigorous site of interdisciplinary research: Researchers from Malmö University, the University of Tartu, Exeter University, Carnegie Mellon University, Johns Hopkins University, Wake Forest University, the University of Pennsylvania, MIT, NJIT, FDU, Dartmouth College, and North Carolina State University have presented workshops, posters, and papers and published book chapters, articles, and one book on the MyReviewers corpus.
The leadership team at MyReviewers founded The Journal of Writing Analytics, which is published by Colorado State University Open Press. The team also hosts The International Conference on Writing Analytics, an annual conference.
MyReviewers has been supported by three grants from the National Science Foundation: NSF Prime (in partnership with MIT, Dartmouth, NCSU, and Penn); NSF I-Corps; NSF SBIR.
When students and instructors first use MyReviewers, they are asked whether their data can be used by IRB-approved researchers (see Disclosure and Consent). Subsequently, the MyReviewers team deidentifies all student and instructor data and organizes it in a Data Warehouse. In general, access to the Data Warehouse is provided to all IRB certified researchers; however, institutions that have a program-wide license of MyReviewers may limit access that that portion of the corpus to researchers sponsored by their institution.
The MyReviewers team can provide customized reports to support Institutional research and improvement science efforts. A variety of reports are available by default in the system; you may learn more here.
